Is the 2RB draft strategy perfect for this year?

I'm experimenting right now at fantasyfootballcalculator.com and it seems that this year the players are spread out perfectly for the 2RB draft strategy. Has anybody seen different results?

  1. I did the 2 RB strategy in my 12 team fantasy league. I started with the fifth pick and ended up with Adrian Peterson and Larry Johnson as my RBs, but I got a crappy QB in Jay Cutler. Few other teams drafted RB 1st then QB 2nd and their teams ended up pretty solid. Then there are  a couple of teams who pick 2 WRs 1st and 2nd, those teams are questionable but can post big numbers. So I don't know it depends on where your draft position.

  2. Depends on how many ppl in your league, 12 or more than for sure do the RB-RB strategy

For 8 or 10 people leagues if you have the first pick i would look to go RB-then get brady at the turn-then you have the pick right after that so grab a RB

In a 10 person league if you can land LT-brady-Rb you win easy

If you want i might also look to go Rb-peyton manning-RB.

    Good Luck.

  3. I actually feel that there is so much depth that I would not implement the strategy. I am doing a serioues league with a fellow Yahoo Answers member and we use 3 RBs and i will not use the RB RB strategy unless I'm getting a great value because there is so much depth. I would rather take a TO or Manning in the second round than say a McGahee.

  4. I think it is over rated. The league is turning into a WR league. There are a few but you can always find RB's in the middle of the draft. Grab one good one (1st or 2nd) round and bank on a sleep later on

  5. The savvy fantasy owners have begun to alter their approach in recent years. They realize that going RB-RB to start your draft is no longer a guarantee of success. With more teams going to Running Back By Committee situations, there are fewer unquestioned three-down backs and there are also a larger number of running backs who can generate viable to much greater production on a weekly basis.
