Is the 30-378 wby mag a good choice for ultra long range bench rest?

I am considering getting one custom made with a long heavy barrel >30” and a custom stock. Also could someone include some ballistics out to 1000 yards. Thankyou

  1. with reguard to recoil, if you are shooting the accumark with the factory brake


    the recoil is equivalent to a 30-06 with no brake. I have no problem with the recoil


    I like knowing the bullet drop is minimal out to 400 yards or so. chew all the info


    and make your decision based on performance and what YOU want.
