Is the 'Battle of the Choirs' really picking the 'best choir' everytime?

I thought that 'Battle of the Choirs' was going to be chosen on the quality of the Choir as a musical entity. I think in weeks 1 and 2 this was the case - I don't think it was the case in weeks 3 and 4. It seemed to me that the 'emotional judges' carried too much weight.

AMEN! No way are they picking the best choir! If a choir stuffed up BIG time like they did last week then in the real world there is NO WAY that the judges would be that lenient! They would not even place let alone go through to the next round!

well, you would have hoped so-but of course this is TV as well, so performance and appearance will be taken into account as well-I don't think they'll just pick the choir with the best sound if they can't perform to save their liveS! I agreed with the decisions in weeks 2 and 3 but not 1 and 4.
