Is the 'Pickens Plan' yet another fleecing of americans'?

If you understand energy at it's lowest common denominator-the BTU, you begin to see an absolute disparity between what Pickens promises and what is actually delivered. I do see an environmental advantage, but the actual advantage,to a customer,is non-exhistent at best. At worst the customer is to pay a severe premium on top of the distributors retail price- (lost mpg thus more to have to purchase plus the retrofit costs plus the higher taxation for operation)! This is yet another Republican way to continue earnings for the ultra-rich. This will further divide the middle-class forcing them into poverty status. I say Pickens is a scum sucker! just like most Republican senators. I urge you to oust your Republican Senator if he defends this plan.

Of course.  The 'Pickens Plan' is undoubtedly a thinly-veiled attempt for him to make use of his worthless West Texas land for his own profit.

That said, I think you are being blindly partisan in making the accusation that this is some type of Republican scam.

Remember, the wheels were set in motion for these alternative energy/ environmentalist subsidies long ago by Democrats.  Now no one in Washington can resist exploiting them for their financial and political gain.

The only answer to Washington-related matters is to force Congress and the Executive branch to shrink the Federal Budget to 1/4 it's current size so they can't give as much money away to their friends.

Anyone who simply wants Washington to "clean-up" is an accomplice in this grand theft.  Shrinking is the only option.
