Is the 405 crowded at 6:00 am in the sepulveda pass?

Question

twice a week now i have to drive from north hollywood to ucla for classes there in the early morning.

when i lived in pasadena i would go to downtown and then take the 10, but the 10 was packed to the brink even at 4:45 so i decided i needed a new route. Is the 405 any better, or is it as bad as the 10.

or should i drive to sherman oaks and then take the streets thru the mountains to UCLA?

Its as bad as the ten,I would suggest the  2 Fwy south bound(Glendale),and figuring a street route along with a freeway route,whichever is less crowded(KNX is usaully the most reliable for the info)to head west.Another way is the 210 west bound.Your pretty much screwed no matter what.Try 210 to Simi valley,to sepulveda or close to that area since sepulveda will back up just like the 405

I would say the 10 will be less crowded, but I don't see the harm in trying a new route once just to see.
