Is the 60 gig xbox 360 really going 2 cost $300?

i was on google to see how much an xbox cost and i saw all these websites saying that the 60 gig is going 2 cost $300.is this a rumor or is it really confirmed. i'll give 5 points if u give a link

no the 60gb is going to be 399.99 and the others like the 20gb is 299.99. i suggest getting the 20gb it the same thing and you don't need alot of space just for playing games.

It is still an unconfirmed rumor..

However Arstechnica (first link) has been right on with all of their price cut rumors in the past..

Here is what they are predicting:

Early Sept price reduction on X360 hardware:

Arcade (no hard drive) to $199

Pro (60GB) to $299  

Elite (120GB) to $399

The 20GB is discontinued and the 60GB has replaced it at the same price point.. (currently $349.99 see second link below).. the 20GB was marked down for clearance to $299.99 but they have been mostly replaced by the 60GB in stores now..

Screenshot (third link) from retailer's computer showing Xbox 360 Arcade dropping to $199.99 on September 7th.. if this is true then maybe the whole rumor is true..
