  1. Dude, the 787 kills any Airbus any day. Boeing should still be laughing at Airbus even if there was a bigger delay for the 787 than the A380.

  2. I don't know if Boeing was laughing at the misfortunes of it's competition but they were right about the A380.  The market is not there for such a large plane and it is not likely to sell enough examples to reach the break even point.

    .

Although Boeing's 787 has been delayed they will be laughing all the way to the bank.  Twenty one examples are in various stages of production.  This number also includes the static a fatigue examples which will not be delivered to customers.  The success of the type has already been achieved.  Since it's launch in April 2004 the 787 Dreamliner has amassed 857 firm orders worth 144 billion dollars from 56 airlines.

    .

  3. don't compare a380 to b787. There is much involved in the a380 than the b787. I don't blame airbus at all. It'll be a shame if the b787 delays.

  4. Actually Boeing wasn't laughing at Airbus...Immature American Boeing fans were the ones doing all the laughing. Yeah the 787 looks to be in deep trouble right now cus i'm hearing about how they'll have to redesign the centre wing box ad that the landing gear doesn't fit one of the test models, coupled with the amount of orders, Boeing would have to pay compensation to like the first customers that'll be affected by the deliver delays, but after all that they should come out fine...i hope...

I'd rather Boeing have delays and come out with a superior product like Airbus did with the A380(its beating fuel burns in the 747 by 20% with an overweight frame) but i still think Boeing were to ambitious with their schedule.

  5. Not really The A380 was more then 2 years behinds and cost billions more then the company has expected. Also Airbus is still unable to produce them at a fast enough rate where a large number of customers would get them on time.

With Boeing it was over a year delayed, but they are still going to turnout 109 of the 112 Airplanes that where planning to go into production. The 787 in its first year will be available to much of its customers. While Airbus had to cut around 80 planes from the year in which was going to debut.

Because of the money many of these companies where forking over and the delays for the A380, This has actually increased Boeing's orders.

  6. Ok... the Airbus A380 is the WORST aircraft ever built.  It may be newer, but none of i's technologies is improved from the previous aircraft besides engines.  Airbus said " Let's create an aircraft that if it crashes, could kill more humans than ever before!"  They are worried on quantity of passangers and not quality.  Boeing has a new high tech aircraft starting on the market.  So what if it could carry 200 less passangers, it is less expensive and is focussed on the passanger experiece.  Boeing has smart lights were they change to get you used to the time zone... Airbus does not have those.  The Boeing 747 is Airbuses rival.  The 747 can hold 416 passangers while the Airbus has 555. The 747 is 500 mill and the A380 is 900mil.  Which one is the better buy? So Boeing has a reason to delay.

  7. There's a lot to take in consideration. One of the hardest task's with the a380 was to get all the parts to the place where the aircraft was built. You have to remember the parts came from all over the world, and their huge. I have my doubts Airbus will laugh at Boeing because the a380 still faces a few problems. (only a select few places to land) and i don't think it would be professional for them to laugh, and current the only airline that operates them is Singapore. I do think the 787 may be delayed for some more time, however i doubt airbus will laugh at Boeing.

  8. "Boeing was laughing at Airbus"?  No.  Delays and cost overruns are expected in big projects.

  9. What's a delay, if there is some technical difficulties? Would you like to fly in an aircraft rushed into service, because the manufacturer is put under pressure?

Check on the differences in order quantities between Airbus 380 and Boeing's 787. Orders placed before design, even! There are also orders in advance from airlines still waiting on their 380's to be delivered. It says a lot for Boeing.

  10. You bet ye !!!!     What goes around......comes around.......
