Is the ACT useful?

especially if I want to go to a UC.

  1. The ACT is basically a test used in a similar way as the SAT, except the SAT is used more commonly (at least where I live).


  2. ACT will only help you on Enterence.

    If you didn't take SATs you are going to run into problems.

    You will have to take preliminary classes that do NOT count as college credit, because they take your scores and place you that way.

    I hope you are very smart and are good at tests because with no SATs to beat the system, you'll have to take a palcement test for every subject

I think that the ACT is more common throughout the midwest/west regions of the US and especially where I live in colorado where every junior is required to take the ACT, so it's probably more useful in these regions of the united states becuase more people take it...A UC school versus a city university of New York...the UC school will use the ACT more because more people in that regions take it compared to the SAT
