Is the Abu Garcia Red Reels good bait casters?

I am changing from spinning reels to bait casters and looking for a darn good reel for big bottom cat fish. My buddy uses the Garica Reds, but thus far never used any...what would you recommend?

YES!  I been using the AG Ambassador Red for years and to date they have never let me down.  I like the 6600CB reel with bait alert (clicker).  Smooth reeling, tough and durable.  You will not go wrong with this reel since you can adjust the settings where there will be limited backlashing.
