Question:

Is the Apple iPod replacement worth buying? Or should I just buy a new one?

I broke my iPod Nano that I've had for a little over a year, and I called Apple to find out that a new replacement is $129. At stores like Best Buy and Circuit City, the nano goes for about $185.

Basically my question is, is the Apple replacement really worth it, or is it just used c**p?

  1. Truth, electronic prices are going down but i would take the replacement.

  2. I'd go for the Apple replacement, or look and see if they have anything in the "refurbished" section of the online store.  The refurbished Apple products carry the SAME warranty as a NEW Apple product and you can even buy AppleCare as if it were new.  When apple refurbishes stuff, they put in a new batter and replace anything that might even hint at causing a problem.  You might end up with something *better* than new.

Stick with the ipod, it's both mac and windows compatible and you won't end up being stuck with something that will only work on *one machine* -- like the Zune.

  3. Why don't you save your money and prevent further headaches by not buying Apple products.   Try the Zen, or the Zune, both have better quality sound and are cheaper that the over-hyped Ipod.

    Lovingly,
