Is the Australian Democracy overrated?

I have to do a debate in class tommorow and i still havnt figured out some points for it. I am on the negative side and i am arguing that democracy ISNT overrated. Even if you think it is PLEASE leave answers as i may be able to form some rebuttal out of it in case the other team says that point.

Overrated by who?  Do you have a name?  Is democracy overated by those who have the privalige of living in a democracy or by those who live under a dictatorship?  Contact someone who has lived under both systems and ask them.  They would have the real answers.
