  1. no way

  2. No the Australian Defence Force actually has a new legislation thing, so you are actually not allowed to swear at one another nor can the CO's (Commanding Officers) they do yell at you a lil bit but it's nuthin personal and you learn to luv em anyway lol

  3. During your initial recruit training at Camp Kapooka, you'll be yelled at all the time. However, a good recruit can avoid being yelled at to his face, while a poor recruit may spend more time than usual braced up on the admin line while a Corporal absolutely reams him.

If you're joining one of the combat corps (Armour, Artillery, Engineers, Infantry), expect to be yelled at frequently too. This is usually done while training or in the field, and isn't personal or necessarily because someone messed up - more of an urgency thing.

Someone mentioned swearing - NCOs and Officers aren't allowed to swear at their subordinates anymore, but there is a technicality - once they ask "Is anyone offended by swearing?", they can swear as much as they like. No one objects.

  4. they might yell at you at basic training, but thats normal

they shout because they want to knock everyones confidence down to the same level and then bring it back up at the same level

    it helps with teamwork etc

  5. I have met an aussie Air man.

their uniform is funny looking. BDU...(camo print) is different.

    bunch of nice guys

  6. they don't get yelled at. it a commander that is yelling out commands or orders. Usually they won't get yelled at personally but as a large group. it works mostly on teamwork

  7. not at all
