Is the Avon River Western Australia good or bad if so why?

Instead of putting your question in Boats and Boating, I'd be inclined to put it in Geography or Australia in "travel", where you would be more likely to have it seen by someone who knows.

Beware of references to the Avon - there are River Avon's all over the World - Avon actually means river or waterway.
