Is the Bible the Word of God? Can you prove it without quoting the Bible?

Or... Is the Koran the Word of God revealed to the Prophet? Can you prove it without quoting the Koran?

The Bible is NOT the word of God.

The Bible itself declares that it is not the word of God. Jesus used that term "Word of God" in the Parable of the Sower (Luke 8:11) long before the New Testament came along, and I doubt that he was "sowing" out those old testament scrolls either.

And of course the Devil was the first to quote scripture in the Gospel. He used them to tempt Christ. So that demonstrates that the scriptures can be the Word of the Devil, just as easily as a good word, depending on who is speaking.

So the Bible itself declares that it is NOT the word of God. More on my bio.

Yes I can,, The Bible talks about the " The one dwelling above the Circle of the Earth" Isaiah 40:22.  This was some 200 years before columbus figured out the earth wasn't flat.

Jesus formed the Church, setting Peter and the Apostles out to preach to the world.  This was before the Bible was made.

Jesus, being the Son of God, gave Peter and the Apostles the ability to make the Church into what it is today, and the Holy Spirit would guide them so as not to teach error.

Over the years, some ideas sprang up that tried to change the church--and even though the Church suffered setbacks and such, it was never destroyed, and her teachings today are the same as they were 2000 years ago.

Since the Church does not teach error (remember, Jesus gave it that power), when it came time to determine what would make up the Bible (particularly the Gospels and the New Testament) in 480 ad or so, the Church not only established the books, but said that the Bible was inspired by God as well as the Word of God.

I will believe the Church, which was set up by Jesus through the Apostles.

the koran is the word of god.  and I can prove it by comparing modern science to the quranic quotes that were first sent down 1,429 years ago.  but if you dont want to quote the koran, watch this video.  the miracle of 19

danno-the earth is not a circle it's a sphere. circle's are flat.  in fact in isaiah 11:12 And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the FOUR CORNERS OF THE EARTH.   it also says jesus was taken to the tallest mountain and saw all of the earth.  which isn't possible unless the earth is flat.  i think god would remember if he made the earth egg shaped or a flat circle.

can u prove your age without identification? Doesnt it have to be written down somewhere? But, yes you can. All you have to do is look around you. In 30 seconds or less u can find a miracle of life. U can find out in an instant that you didnt make yourself, you were born, just like everyone else. No one created themselves. God created this planet and all life forms. Are u ready to wake up?

Who else would have had a working knowledge of the germ theory to write the hygiene laws in Leviticus 3500+ years before mankind invented the microscope for us to learn it. It sure wasn't Charles Darwin. He also had no knowledge of the germ theory.

Can you think of a way that several authors over a span of 1500 years could write letters, poetry and history that all have an underlying theme and agree on the same specific theology? Without divine assistance?

Good point, dude below me. Germs and basic hygiene weren't implemented until that guy Pastuer's time.

Without quoting the bible, I believe that God is the author and finisher of my faith.  This means God uses people (testimonies) to deliver His message without it would be just words in a thick book with stories that make no sense.  

When the bible says that God is a provider.  How is he a provider?  What does that mean to me?  I have not had a job in 6 months and gas and food prices are high.  I have faith in His words when it says not to worry about what you will eat. I have not gone hungry and I always have gas in my car.  

I am novice to God's word and can not quote a scripture off the top of my head, but I know His word to be true.  That is my testimony.

No, and no. Both holy books contain so many errors and debunked untruths that they are clearly useless as any meaningful record of history.

As moral lesson collections, they are absolutely awful and evil.

Yes the bible was written by men over a period of thousands of years.

People were willing to die for it.

The prophecies in it that were stated to happen, have happened, and are happening exactly as stated.
