Is the Big Mac vs. Whopper a fair comparison?

I like both depending on what I am in the mood for. However I think the Big Mac as a sandwich because it has too high of a bread to meat ratio. I think of the Whopper as a burger, so the comparison of the two seems to be unfair..

What's the point of comparison? If you are talking fat/calories, the whopper is like 150% of a big mac, much bigger bun, much more mayo.  You are much better off with the big mac in that regard.

Big Mac is better. But you know whats even better than that. A Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese. I don't like Whoppers.

I prefer the taste of a whopper, but a Big Mac is better for you. (you are better off not eating either though!)

Just ate a big mac it was the best big mac ive ever had loved it I hate burger king its c**p tastes burnt and is just wrong yuk

the whopper has more flavor and you can add lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles.

i think people compare them b/c each is the signature sandwich of the chain..  honestly my favorite was the big king..  the bk double cheeseburger with the big mac toppings..  I wish they'd bring that back..  it had the great flavor combo of the big mac with less bread and juicier meat..

Your right. It is not a fair comparison. I don't like anything that is flame broiled. I hate that charred flesh taste. The Big Mac is all good for me.

They are two completely different sandwiches.  It is not a fair comparirison.  Personally I dont like anything Burger King makes.  The fake flame broiled taste combines with the lowest quality meat in the industry doesnt set well with me.  And dont get me started on their microwave practices.
