Is the BlackBerry Curve 8330 Available with T-Mobile?

Ok so i upgraded my phone from a Sidekick 3 to a BlackBerry Curve. What i didnt realize is that the BlackBerry Curve has different series. T-Mobile gave me the BlackBerry Curve 8320. It doesnt record video and doesnt have GPS and something appears to be wrong to use the instant messengers. The BlackBerry Curve 8330 appears to be a better phone then the 8320 because it has built in GPS and records video. So my question is can i switch this 8320 for the 8330 with T-mobile? or does T-Mobile not have this series yet??

  1. The BlackBerry Curve is a CDMA device, so it won't be coming to T-Mobile as T-Mobile is a GSM carrier. With the T-Mobile 8320 you can use the instant messengers, but you can only use the Yahoo! Messenger and GoogleTalk. I don't think Windows Live Messenger and AIM work.

As far as video recording the soon-to-be-released OS 4.5.0 will address the video recording issue. In order to get GPS you will need to purchase a Bluetooth GPS receiver and pair it with the device. I use the Holux GPSlim 240 and it works fine.

  2. i think the 8330 went to verz and sprint.  there a software upgrade coming out soon  that will  address your other issues
