Is the Boxing gear in the Olympics defective?

It seems like all of the boxers are being robbed.

It's so sad to see this guy's travel so far with their olympic hopes just to get ripped off before our very eyes.

  1. Perhaps the only thing defective is the scoring system.

    Remember that the rules of the Olympics are different than professional rules.  There are NO points awarded for ring generalship, or aggression, only for clean effective punching.

    Not every punch that lands is scored.

    The olympic officials have a very difficult task, but they do follow the rules.  If anything the rules should be changed to give the better athlete a better shot of winning.


  2. Mate, I couldn't agree more. Forget that it is scored differently to pro boxing (although I believe they need to bring it more in line with pro rules), the fact is the village idiots over there scoring it are not being straight up and robbing good boxers. They have had this problem in every Olympics and it's bloody sad for boxing.
