70% on Gas.....yeah yeah yeah we know its the Companies doing this but whats the Government doing about it..?? Peoples basic wages are not going up to meet these huge rises in fuels which is having a drastic effect on the rest of the economy...food, petrol etc. The way things are going the Government will have to consider raising the basic minimum hourly rate to at least £10 and increase all benefits across the board by at least 30% to at least, to give people on the lower end of the pay scale a chance to survive..and keep there heads above Poverty....Who says we are not heading for a fall is speaking out of there Ar5e....Britain is quite apt at giving our money away to other Countries...WELL!! its about time it thought of its own PEOPLE FIRST....WE CANNOT SAVE THE WORLD....AND EVERYONE IN IT FROM POVERTY!!

Yeah yeah yeah....we can all blame the oil Companies, but who taxes what we use?....Yes the thieving Government, AND THE Ministers WHO GET away with defrauding the purse strings.

  1. I would say the plot has most certainly been lost!!!!!

Along with official papers, the brains of most MP's, and most certainly the PM, do they never actually think about the man in the street anymore, its them they are supposed to be working for, they are the ones who voted, BUT they are the ones whose pensions are fading fast, wages are getting less, inflation higher, I don't have to explain more, the folks in the UK already know the rest of the story........

  2. When the U.S. falls we take everyone with us. So get ready for a long hall save your pennies or I should say Euro!

  3. The plot was lost by all governments years ago.

The list of uncaring things the governments do is endless.

They don't care that a great many people are living well below the poverty level and have been for years. They know as soon as the price of fuel rises, everything else rises and those who cannot afford to live properly now have to cut down even more on the essentials of life.

On another tack, the government announced that crime had decreased by 9% over the last year. What rubbish. Where did they get that figure from? The number of cat nappings that have taken place over the last 12 months? It sure as heck is not the number of violent crimes, which are going up and up and up.

So to is namby pamby way they allow the criminals to get away with anything.

For example, the man who intentionally placed his toddler in a bath of scalding water and was sentenced to 4 years in prison with a recommendation that he serve at least 2 years.

That little boy will have the scars to remind him of what happened for the rest of his life.

If the governments really did care, they would take drastic steps to protect and care for those who are the victims, both economically and who are victims of crime and they would make sure those responsible were really taught a lesson once and for all.

  4. Where will the Governemnt get this extra money from?

We will not be starving, just hae to pull our belts a little tighter, the countries that receive aid do so because their people will die otherwise, we'll just have to go without the little extra luxuries!

  5. It has been since just before the Wilson years,

  6. The Bristish Government is being led by a bunch of spineless ape's!

We need a new Government, and desperately!

Our only chance is by voting Conservative. I am certain David Cameron will be the next PM! :)

  7. It's a load of poo, They started losing the plot when blair lefted.

The goverment does jackshit. And it's a bout time someone else takes over.

The whole things getting really silly now.

  8. I really do fear for People who are already at breaking point now and will have to die because  they can't a fford to heat their homes or wear a stack of coats at home all winter!

  9. British Gas Official has told us that the gas prices are going up, and to combat this, turn the thermostat down

and put an extra pullover or cardigan on. What words of wisdom?

The government are always coming up with statistics, for their own benefit, why don't they publish the figures for the death rate of people who are believed have died through hypothermia each winter.

When these huge rises kick in, it will be interesting to see

what price the rest of the EU are paying for Gas and Electric

Not as much as Soft Johnny English I bet.
