  1. Absolutely not! CGP books are great for GCSE, but not A-level at all, they skim over the content and really you need depth.

    I got 600/600 on A-level Biology this year with Edexcel and I used the NAS purple books that they produce. You can find them on amazon.co.uk for each module:

    There are books like this for all modules (except Module 6 which is synoptic). They are all excellent!

    They are written by Edexcel and cover exactly what you need to do. Also, the writing style emulates the marking schemes and therefore you are learning the content in a style suited to the exam board.
