Is the CHEESECAKE FACTORY a good restaurant?

We live in Michigan which has no CHEESECAKE FACTORY restaurants, but it looks delicious.

For the vast variety of foods they offer (their menu is a book), they're surprisingly good. Keep in mind that they are a chain restaurant, so the food is not outstanding. I have been in some CCFs that offer good food, and some that don't. I love their Thai Chicken Pasta - could eat it everyday and be happy.

it's okay. the cheesecake is AMAZING, but the dining experience isn't the best because the restaurant is designed like a cafeteria.

It's very yummy!  I love the pastas....but, yes they are fattening...that's why I don't go there very often.  

For above poster - - I've been to several Cheesecake Factory restaurants, and I've never been to one that is like a cafeteria??

I have had nothing but good experiences at the Cheesecake Factory. I have visited them in several states with all the same result. You must try the Oreo Cheesecake, Terriaki (sp), BBQ Ranch Chicken Salad, any of the burgers, and the Sweet Corn Cake appetizer.

CHESSECAKE FACTORY IS A GREAT RESTAURANT.  THE ATMOSPHERE IS GREAT. NICE FOR A 1ST DATE OR EVEN JUST WITH A WHOLE BUNCH OF FRIENDS/ FAMILY.  THE MEALS ARE VERY LARGE PORTIONS (U GET YOUR MONEYS WORTH)  AND YOUMUST SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT SO EXPECT TO TAKE A DOGGIE BAG FOR YOUR MAIN COURSE.  THEY HAVE EVERY KIND OF CHEESECAKE YOU CAN IMAGINE.  THE REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CUP CHEESECAKE IS MY FAVORITE. Oh my goodness! Its heavenly devine! Makes your mouth water when you walk in the door! The have great waitors/waitresses, atmosphere, and YUMMMM-O cheesecake! ive only been 2 times! i ahve had the oreo, and snickers cheese cake, and also a bite of cherry pie cheese cake! ohh theres too much to choose from though! i feel like i am getting fat just thinking about it! its very good! you should try and go once in your life... a very fattening experience! ;D
