Is the Canada 2008 tax refund delayed?

Its well beyond the stipulated 4 to 6 weeks, and I still havent received it.

  1. yes it is delayed.   I did my taxes the first week of April and did not get it back until 2 months later.  (about 2 weeks ago)


  2. Well firstly it's the 2007 refunds, as the filing deadline for 2008 is April 30th 2009.  

    For the refunds, I've not heard about any delays. A lot depends on when and how  you filed your return.  I E-filed my return late April and had my refund within 20 days.  If you paper file near the end of April it can take until July to receive your refund (It's just a question of volume).  If you want your refund faster and do not want to E-file send your return in in March rather than the end of April

  3. The four to six week time frame is not a guarantee. You're refund could have been delayed for any number of reasons, and may have been selected for random review. The Revenue Agency has the right to review returns at any time. Certainly seems sensible that they'd review your return BEFORE sending you your refund.
