    Just remember this little rule if you're ever stuck; all continents start with an A and end in an A, the exception being Europe.

    Austria starts with an A and ends in an A, but everyone knows that's not a continent :D

  6. No.  It is a sea between the North American and South American continents.  People referring to the Caribbean are often referring to the many islands in that sea, such as Cuba, Haiti/The Dominican Republic (Hispaniola), Puerto Rico, Jamaica, etc.

  9. No.  The Caribbean is a part of the ocean.  The islands in the Caribbean are considered to be part of North America, except for the part very close to South America.

  12. Interesting question to read tonight. My daughter only just asked if Canada is on the same continent as America (we're in Australia so fair enough). Which then got us adults trying to remember what defines a continent. Still haven't googled. Off I go...
