To buy a laptop for $816.21 that would come out to 25 dollars a month?

  1. Nope, unless you know for sure that you can pay for it ASAP. Remember that aftr taxes,shipping and the additional add ons for the computer it will cost about a 1000 or more. In addition depending on how much  the finace charges are the 25 bucks may only cover  the finance charges.


  2. Probably not. Most manufacturer's "in-house" financing has much higher than normal rates and fees.

  3. Depends.  Can you afford to pay for it all at once?  Then you'd avoid interest charges.  How many months is it?  Will they allow you to pay it off sooner without any penalties?  What kind of credit rating do you have?

    My daughter just ordered a laptop from Dell and we looked at Dell Financial, but she had the money so she just paid for it.  She doesn't have a credit rating, yet, so we weren't sure if they would even approve her and she won't have to pay any interest.  

    However, I used it when I bought my desktop several years ago and it was fine for me.
