Is the Democratic Morally bankrupt?

I have been a member of the Democratic Party for over 40 years.

My grandfather served in the Franklin Delano Roosevelt administration and was one of the architects of The New Deal.

My grandfather's brother quit his job and went to Europe in 1939 to help rescue Jewish people and get them out of Europe and into the United States because Adolf Hitler was targeting the Jewish people for elimination.

I was once proud of the Democratic Party, however the new group of radical leftists that are attempting to take over the Democratic Party are some of the most selfish, uncaring people that I have met in my life.

In the past few days Russia has invaded the nation of Georgia, not to be confused with the State of Georgia in the United States.

Russia has been deliberately attacking and killing the civilians of Georgia in an apparent effort to terrorize the nation of Georgia and kill as many civilians as possible as fast as possible.

When I bring this issue up with my colleagues in the Democratic Party, the response is that they could not care less or that this is merely a dispute about Real Estate.

Adolf Hitler's excuse for starting World War II was that he just wanted Real Estate for Germany that he thought that Germany should have.

We have a holocaust occurring in Georgia, and my colleagues in the Democratic Party could not care less.

I had always considered the Democratic Party to be the savior of the working man.

How can the Democratic Party continue to claim any sort of moral superiority if we cannot even agree to come to the aid of the citizens of Georgia who are being slaughtered in an illegal war of aggression by Russia.

The attitude of my colleagues in the Democratic Party appears to be similar to the attitude of the Republicans toward Hitler immediately prior to World War II, and that was that this is just a war about Real Estate and it is not our problem.

It appears to me that the Democratic Party and the Republican Party have traded places.

What Russia is doing to Georgia is a crime.

I agree that the Democratic Party is morally bankrupt.

The fact that the Democratic Party is completely unconcerned about the Russian invasion of Georgia indicates that the Democratic Party is morally bankrupt.

This is how World War II started. Adolf Hitler invaded countries to see what the respone of the other nations would be.

The other nations said that this was just a small war between Germany and it's neighbors and was not a concern.

Russia is testing us to see what our response will be to a Russian invasion in vioaltion of the sovreignty of another country.

When Russia sees that we do not respond, Russia will invade many other neighboring countries and will feel emboldened because they have essentially no opposition.

No they are not morally corrupt.  The modern Democratic party is the logical extension of FDR's, and LBJ's big government policies.

I say they are not morally corrupt but instead practice an evil twisted system of morality, which was also shared by FDR and LBJ.

A system where it is morally wrong to keep what you have earned by your own honest toil but a "moral right" to take what someone else has earned.  It is virtuous to vote for politicians to that promise to use the police powers of the state to do that looting for you.  But it is hate speech to call this socialist system by its true name "slavery".   The fact that the slaves are publicly owned doesn't change what it is.

this is Democracy showing its true face

Hitler was elected by a democratic system

Democracy was hated by the founding fathers

and you will not find it in the constitution

The American Public has been brainwashed that it is a good idea

But all it means is that the majority rules.

So if you belong to the 49% you are a slave of the ruling system without rights.

What we really want is a form of socialism whereby the individual got the right to be or do what he wants ,as long as it is not murder ,to harm any one or damage or steal anyones property.

That is the closest we can get to freedom ,Democracy is pure Fascism by the end of the day.

The whole Rep & Dem thing is a superficial divide. Two sides of the same coin; One hand washes the other. The USA has a hand in what's happening in Russia; Georgia is an ally of ours.

I noticed that to that's why you should cross over the Germans started invading little countries that no one cared about in 1935 that they lost after WWI1 and the world just sat back and watched now Russia is invading a little country that they lsot afteer the S.Union  and once again the world is sitting back we.....and when i hear the average American just sit there and say its not our problem It makes me mad it makes me think like those are the kind of people who would sit back and watch someone be murdered and think it was funny America tried not caring about the rest of the world and what happened to world wars since we've been as they say "policing" the rest of the world notice there hasn't been another world war....

Nothing will be done about any struggle anywhere if it is not popular and aired on TV for the masses to fume over.

If someone makes one up and ignores the real problems we can assure a jump started war as we have seen in Iraq, with little attention to Afghanistan.

I don't think that morality is the issue, nor is it the particular party you happen to be involved in. It all comes down to what is in the propaganda agenda and who happens to be in power at the time.

Besides, you are talking about a problem with Russian politics. Good luck getting anyone to do anything to a "Red" power in this day and age!

Wow you sure talk a lot, Mr. "I used to be a Democrat."  Yeah sure you were.

You know, if you shut up for two minutes and read a little, you might find out that Georgia started this current party by bombing and invading South Ossetia a couple days ago.  

If you want to go over there yourself and help their brain damaged president with the little fight he picked with Russia all by himself, I sure as heck won't stop you.

Do you think you can fit that into your moral rectitude?

Well I agree with you.  How do we do it?

I don't know if you noticed, but Russia is big and has quite the military still.

And ours is tied up in Iraq, Afghanistan, and protecting other interests in the world.  We are a little busy dealing with our problems to deal with a problem that the Georgian President didn't exactly do a great job trying to avoid.

I'd love to help.  Where do we get the troops to do it?

Thanks for continuing to post about this.Putin will not stop with this, and many Dems know and do not care.  They are willing to toss Eastern Europe to Putin, maybe because these nations are likely to be the most resistant to efforts at the "Open Society" of Soros et.al (yes I know that they appeared as benefactors in Eastern Europe during the [last] change around 89, but this was apparently not for charitable reasons, now they want that open society and they are stirring up tensions in many regions right now)  I have been trying to inform people about the active support some Democrats are expressing for Russian aggression.  No More Yaltas!  I am an independent voter myself, but rest assured that there are other lifelong Democrats who are disillusioned as you are.  Also don't let the nasty comments get to you, I think this has been planned for a while and the anti-Georgia propaganda will be flying.

First it would be best if you review the history of that area of the world.  Islam is huge in Georgia next to Russia.  It is growing and as it increases so do tremendous upheavals it causes grow.  It is not really a political thing.  Russia HATES being invaded.  Georgia is in a struggle for its life as Islam is choking it to death and causing its neighbors to become increasingly hostile to it as demonstrated with the escalation of a conflict which has been ongoing since before America was even a country.

I care..but what can I do ?  I have written to my congress people but about things going on here in OUR country caused by islam.  

It would help you to remember the base war that is ongoing at all times which God promised and which is growing wildly.  It is the basic war of good and evil in mankind .   The holocaust is ongoing and has never ended no matter what you think.  People do care.  It is just that we are not all able to work together in concert to overcome these terrible problems mankind causes for himself quite yet.  

Darfur? Muslim violence is overwhelming the people.  Kenya, the same.  Nigeria, the same. Sudan, the same. The cancer is growing and lives amoung all of us in all countries.   If you were able to peer into Georgia you might just see it is not Georgians causing the problems there and Russia will defend itself however correctly or incorrectly as it has always done.  Dictators are a dime a dozen and always have been.  It is good to know you care.  

How can any of us help best?  Arm ourselves with knowledge and spread that knowledge around thickly to help everyone see what is coming and hopefully someone will figure out how to stop the oily spread of the disease.
