Question:

Is the Democratic National Committee out of touch with average Americans?

I don't mean individual Democrats or state and local committees but the national committee and the national leadership.

I thought it was unfathomable that Bush would be re-elected but once the campaign started it seemed apparent that the Democrats couldn't relate to most voters.

A year ago I would have bet a million dollars that the Republicans would get trounced this November but it looks like it's going to be a tight hard fought race mostly because the Democrats seem intent on forcing their will on the American people rather than listening to what we have to say.

Does the party need new leadership across the board and a move back toward the middle?

  1. its needs to adopt a more centrist viewpoint, like Bill Clinton did.

  2. Yes, they are, no question.  This is the democrats year, a very unpopular president that has had two terms.  A unpopular war that has lasted too long, and a sagging economy.  These three things say that they win by a landslide.  I would have lost the same amount, because we had no hope of even competing.  But leave it to Pelosi, Reid, and Dean the real three stooges and the democrats have blown a sure win and now the outcome is in doubt.  When will the far left loons understand there are far more people in the center then to the fringe. As soon as they quit playing to the special interest group and start speaking to the majority then they might make some progress.

  3. They don't have a clue.  I've never been polled either.

  4. Yes, the fact that they use super-delegates to vote for the nominee, instead of the popular vote speaks volumes. Having super-delegates is like telling the ordinary folks that they don't count.

  5. Of course they are and that's what happens when you keep promoting people who have far left agendas.  It's going to be a close race, you're right and I blame Bush for this fiasco because he was and is a fiscal failure.  What we don't need is someone who is even a larger fiscal failure than he is and Obama would certainly foot that bill with his "Dreams come true" rhetoric.

In the end, the Dems will fail again and they have themselves to blame.  Yes, the polls will rise for a few days, that's to be expected, but people will wise up and vote for the right person and it won't be a Socialist.

  6. I am amazed that political rallies and conventions are becoming a side show events with no substance. The main theme is to assassinate the opponents character. I hear terms like "Failed " used so often although I don't see where there is a failure. We don't all have to agree, but there is a limit to the cruel unsubstantiated claims made by the speakers at this event.I would like to see a little dignity expressed and real issues discussed. For all the claims of how bad things are, I worked, retired, and benefited by my own planning. No politician helped me.I thought my party would lose this time because it happens historically, but the Democrats are giving us a side show, not a reason to believe in them.

  7. No. The Democrats are in the middle and for the middle. The only reason the election is tight is because of the "fear factor" --

  8. Are you serious? Republicans appeal to nobody but the upper class and bible belt in America. if anything, they are the ones that are out of touch.

  9. I think you should worry about your own, soon-to-be-defunct Party.

The DNC, like it's counter part, is a mere organization.  Whether or not it is in-touch is dependent upon the people who compose it.

  10. Man did you hit the nail right on the head every 4 years it is the same old BS how terrible America is with the other party in charge, why we are hated around the world how we must raise taxes and create new programs...nothing positive it is like they have a death wish.

One of the problem is every now and then they get lucky like with Bill Clinton not realizing without Ross Perot taking 19% of the conservative  vote he would have lost also....maybe one day they will figure out this is not a LIBERAL country.

  11. If there were to people at a trade show one a dem. the other a republican. The (r) wants the sale, doesn't care anything about the person or if the product is what is best for them but they are gong to get the sale. They don't care if they are honest. They don't care what happens after the sale. So (r) are great sales producers....a (d) has a different technique. I used to be in sales & I was good but I would never sell anything to anyone unless it was best for them. So in the long run I had loyal people who would come back to me later & buy from me. We don't have time for people to get do know the dem. most people go back to their jobs after all of this & hear all kinds of stories that aren't true so the (r) have an advantage but all the (d) can do is hope that their honesty will pay off & they have reached enough people....also, it is harder for a person who has 3 jobs to get out & vote than it is for someone who has wealth.

  12. They need to get away from the Far Left take over..... get back to the middle....but as long as the control comes from Billionare George Soro's we will always get Kerry type canidates.

  13. Not that I can see or hear.

  14. I like your avatar but your question makes no sense.  The national party is not as distant from local officials as you seem to think and they're far more in touch with the country on every major issue than the Republicans.

  15. Absolutely. ALL elitists are.

  16. Nope, this year they are closer to the average American than either party has been for years.

Neither Obama or Biden are silver spoon elitists like most candidates have been for years.

Poor to middle class background is the average American.

It is The Republicans who are out of touch now.

    In 2004 both parties were.

  17. Hi I agree 100%. I am conservative. I am very disappointed with the current establishment. They are out of touch. However the dem party seems just as out of touch.I consider my self working middle class.

Neither party seems to care or offer any plans or solutions.

  18. While this race PROBABLY is going to be closer than i would have imagined, i still don't think it's as close as the media wants everyone to believe it is...

MY party needs to do a better job of relating to voters, for sure.

also...i've never, in my life, known anyone who was contacted by a pollster...i don't know who these pollsters are calling... but it's not me...

also...they only call LISTED HOME phone numbers. i'm 28 and i don't have any friends who own a home phone... everyone i know just has their cell phones...

my PARENTS have a home phone...my older sister does as well...but HONESTLY...that's it.
