  1. NO, but I did not like it at all.  Have you been on it before ?

    I loved the Nuva Ring.

Its the same with pretty much all birth control.  But if you smoke and your over 35 then yes there's risks

I wanted to add just like with the rest of the ladies I bled for months while on it.  Yuck !!! and it does make you weird

  2. Not unless you're a smoker, then they say it can cause high blood pressure. And, also, may be linked to osteoporosis. It also causes weight gain, and severe paranoia when you're coming off it cause you spot so much and have irregular periods that you think you're pregnant. All the time. That was my experience at least. Good luck!

  3. The shot may raise the risks for osteoporosis so if you are at risk for that or have an nonactive lifestyle then another contraceptive should be used. However, they are now saying that the shot should be a last resort for adolescents, if and only if other options are discussed.

  4. IMHO it's bad for ALL women..I got that shot the day after I had my son and I haven't been the same. I bled for 6months straight and only had one dose. I am still going back and forth to the doctors trying to figure out what's wrong.  My period will never be normal again.

  5. I agree that it is bad for all women!!  I had one shot once and bleed for 6 months straight after wards.  It has now been 8 years and my period has never gotten back to normal!
