Is the Digital Media Port Ipod adapter for the Sony Bravia sound systems compatible with the Ipod Touch?

Particularly we have the Blu-Ray Matching Home Theatre Component sound system. I'm contemplating buying the digital media port, but have seen nowhere that it may be compatible with the Ipod Touch being a new Ipod model. I'm kind of on edge on whether it will work. Comparing it to the older model Nano, we could play the Nano on our PS3 albeit with some drawbacks. But the Touch doesn't work at all on the PS3. Just makes me think it might not work. Can anyone else confirm whether this works or not?
