The earth is a soul less, unthinking, inanimate object that reacts to the forces it is under, accordingly.

Regardless of the source of the force, or the reason the earth will react. All that live on it intelligently or not will suffer, or reap the consequences accordingly.

There is no "Mother Earth" to ask for a divorce from humanity.

Just a planet that could very well give up all the forces required to sustain life on this planet. If the life goes as we know it? too bad. The earth will still be here. We can die on it and take everything dear to us with us but the good old earth is still going to circle the sun three hundred and sixty five & 1/4 days a year. With or without us.

Perhaps. But maybe the earth is asking us to pay closer attention to her, in a similar way that we ask each other, and that children ask adults, when they aren't listened to the first time.

Maybe she is 'acting out'.  I know if a child doesn't get the attention it needs by acting in a positive manner it certainly will get attention one way or another. So will adults who feel they are not getting the atten they need by those they love and care for.

The Earth cares for us by providing what er need to survive. If we in turn do not listen and care and provide for, and take care of her, then, perhaps she is asking us for a divorce.

Not really much of a marriage is it? - For the most part, Earth is locked in the kitchen and forced to provide for mankind without any heed to her own sustenance.  Thing is, she has a lot of sharp knives etc at her disposal so I don't think she'll ask...

Umm....nooooo....I honestly have no idea what you are talking about. But mankind is NOT bleeding the earth. It has almost infinite resources, and we're not going to use it all up.
