Is the El San Juan Hotel nice?

I am hearing mixed reviews about service, the rooms, and everything. I want to stay someplace nice and that is preferable not a big hotel chain. Was your room renovated, what time did they let you check in?

This is one of the best and most respected hotels in the island. The room's were recently refurbished and the pool are completely re-made. It is beautiful and the restaurants are very good. There's also great nightlife.

Yes, it is very nice.  I stayed there a couple years ago, but I know ppl that have been there more recently and still have good things to say about it.  The pool area is very nice and open.

Thats one of the top hotels in Puerto Rico. It has great and big pool area, casino, and it is located in a great ambiance (near a lot of tourist sites) From there you can go to Pi~ones (great area to chill by the beach, where you can eat Puerto Rican tropical dishes, like "alcapurria". The hotel is near the beach, so you can also enjoy the beach. It has one of the best clubs in Puerto Rico also: (however it;s also one of the most expensive) Brava club. Concerning the rooms fares and all, well, there are some cheap and the suites are expensive. It is a very nice hotel, you will find many tourist there.

Another great hotel is El Conquistador in the East. Also La Concha in the north(San Juan)

If you dont want big hotels then you can go to Condado Plaza Hotel. It also have beach and its cheaper than a big hotel.

Well it is a nice hotel on the beach and night life, but if you want the top of the line try the Ritz Carlton!
