  1. As an Englishman I've had to get used to driving on the left hand side of the road. It feels much more natural to drive on the right hand side of the road.

It's about time that the UK came into line with the rest of the world and drove on the right.

  2. it makes no difference atal because uk cars are right hand drive and us are left hand drive. it wouls onlt be a problem if i had a us carr in uk and was driving wit me closest to the kerb  and passenger close to middle of road

  3. i drive a RHD golf and a chevvy LHD day van. both are safe if you pay attention to what you're doing (and have a 4.3l kick back to get you out of trouble!) insurance is just as cheap for both

  4. not realy, its just whatever you are used to?

  5. I would say that it would be the same once you have adjusted to the difference

  6. I would say that both are safe but not safer

  7. no 'way' is safer, it's whether people stick to the rules or not that determine road safety.

  8. not to an englishman in america or an american in england

  9. I THINK DRIVING ON THE LEFT IS SAFER LIKE WE DO IN THE U.K.

BEFORE I TOOK THE CAR OVER TO FRANCE LAST YEAR I SPENT A WEEK OVER HERE DRIVING ON THE RIGHT JUST TO GET USED TO IT AND IT SCARED THE S**T OUT OF ME.

  10. I don't think either way is inherently safer that the other.  Provided of course you remember which country you're in.  In the UK we have problems with drivers from mainland Europe who sometimes forget where they are.

  11. It depends HOW you drive, not wich side of the road.

  12. No, but there is growing support of the theory that roads without markings make (or help) drivers drive more safely.

  13. I don't think the side you steering wheel is on makes a difference... but those d**n roundabouts are suicidal, AmeriKans don't HAVE roundabouts and they don't have huge wrecks trying to get from one street to another.
