  1. Although I have different preferences in snowboards if I had to choose between the two I would go with the Roxy Silhoutte, It is more flexible and easier to turn on in my opinion.

  2. im snowboard instructor at mt.bachelor in bend oregon,

iv never tryed the flow jewel or the roxy

but tips to helping you know....

1.the board should have some flex in it..(if you hold the board long ways and you push the middle of the board in and it should bend perty well )

    2. the board come to about your chin nothing HIGHER! the board width should be no bigger then your bindings..

    3. when you have your board on feet..set down and move your toes up and down..( one up one down) its called torsional flex you want the board to have a good amount..nothing stiff!

if this helps my frist board was a lamar strome..154 lots of felx! the board i have now..is a sapent 147 great amount of felx

    hopfully this helps you

  3. I have last years model of the Roxy silhouette and I really liked it but then I got the Ride Rapture for x-mas and I have improved so, so much. I have a Burton, Roxy, Nitro and a Ride and my Ride is the best by far, it is light, and flexy, it is real easy to maneuver around  and I can even ride it on Powder days, since I got it I have picked up new tricks, and got faster too, It is just an all around good board. I hardly even ride the other boards anymore.I know it was not one you were looking at but maybe you can look at it and see what you think cause I have learned so much on it! Good luck and I hope my advice helped!
