I hope it isn't.

Congrats to Rafael Nadal on winning the Wimbledon 2008.

  1. No way. Not even close to over. He's been in two finals already this year. He didn't lose a single set the entire tournament (until the final).  He will probably be in the USOpen final and will probably win it.  He had mono and still was difficult for most players to beat.

He will probably win the Australian Open next year, and possibly even the golden slam in 09 (I hope).

Any reporter who says negative things, either doesn't know tennis, or drools while talking. Both are gross.

  2. Federer era Isnt over he's gonna come back next  year and kill him end of story

  3. No, but I just hope he doesn't break Pete Sampras' record.

  4. no buddy, he will be back

  5. Federer's era isn't over. I think he's got a few more years in his game. But Nadal is improving his game to surpass Federer. So Federer's gonna have to get better soon. Let's see what happens at the US Open.

  6. OK< even great champions lose. Give him a break, it doesn't mean he's going to just fall apart. Federer has had several great years in a row. GIve him that credit....he can still have many good matches ahead of him......Nadal has been trying for so long and his hard work has paid off

  7. No

  8. Not really. As much as i hate federer i think he actually still has a chance. As long as nadal doesn't win anymore big ones fed will stay numero uno. But i seriously think that Federer's era is coming to an end. Djokovic will beat him at us most likely and australian as well. And nadal has french. So hes g2 get back into the game.

  9. Let's face it people. It is over. Federer may still go on to win a few more Grand Slams, equal and perhaps surpass Sampras' record, but he is not going to be as dominant as he has been in last  five or so years. Players out there believe they can beat him. He will be among the top players in coming years but not going to be a cut above the rest.

  10. No,it isn't.

Popular opinion seems to say yes,but experts won't agree.

Federer will bounce back from this defeat. This is the man that many thought to be the best player to have picked up the racket, better than many others. That kind of talent doesn't disappear overnight.Even the greatest of all players have bad days occasionally. That doesn't make them less great, all it proves is that they're human. And so is it with Federer.

Nadal is an opponent worthy of the great man's skills, capable of inflicting the odd defeat on his more illustrious counterpart.

One final lost doesn't mean that the Federer era is at its end.No way,we admire the great spirit and character of Federer, who came back after having lost two sets and was in an equally good position to have won the final.

  11. Heck no!

  12. Not at all...'

Federer will make a come back and will answer with his racquet...

    Roger Federer Rocks...

  13. Def. not

  14. Nope. Even Tiger Woods has had off years, and eventually it will be over. He hasn't "lost his edge". He has just had a bad year. He DOES plan to retire in 2012. PLUS, he's getting married soon!

  15. Federar era isn't over. I can say that atleast by seeing the incredible fight back he did after losing the first two sets & he "nearly" won it. He still has alot of time ahead in his career & even though its disappointing he couldn't become the only 2nd man in history to win 6 consecutive titles at wimbledon, its no way the end of the road for him. Don't worry!

  16. nope. definitely not

  17. hope not but it can only done by nadal

  18. I don't know if Federer Era is over, but definitely Nadal Era has begun

  19. no, i do not think Federer era is over yet but im so glad Rafita won, i was getting sad over the 4 set and not to say the 5th for a moment i felt like Rafa was not going to get it, but luckily he did. although roger will continue being the top guy to beat, Rafa is young and he can still break Federer's records.

  20. No way, people are worried because he lost in The Australian Open to Djokovic. He was diagnosed with mononucleosis which is similar to Glandular Fever.

The French Open he did very well to get to the finals.

And the Wimbledon he played very well.. Nadal got lucky and if it wasn't for one or two points I think Federer would have won the title. Also Federer came back from 2 sets love, that's gotta say something. He is able to come back from tight spots and that takes a lot of courage.

He is still no. 1 and one of the greatest players in history... Federer's era isn't over yet he still has alot to prove and more records to break =]

    woo... go federer!! =] =]

  21. As much as i'd LOVE to see Nadal reign supreme...i just think this is a slight blip in Fed's career.

  22. i would love to know why so many girls who answered this question got a thumbs down for stating a pretty fair opinion...

It looks like its over with all these grand slams Nadal has been winning recently but Nah..  while Federer plays tennis the Federer era will never end.

  23. well i think it is in aussy, french and wimbledon. He's still the man at US but if he loses at US open then his era is over and it will be nadal and dvojivic's era.

  24. Not sure, obviously his grass court streak is finished and i'm positive that nadal is the new #1 in the world. I think that federer will bounce back i mean who doesnt go in slumps? I believe he can get back in the game but c'mon whos in his way other than nadal? One person, and hopefully soon he'll beat him i think. But for now Nadal is the man!!!!

  25. no way............
