The UK one looks/is the same as used on building sites(110v), and camping sites(240v) and are Blue and cylindrical. The ones used on French camping sites look very similar and are 220v. I need to know if the pins are the same or do I need an adaptor.

  1. If the connector is blue, then it will be the same type of connector as that used on British campsites. However many French campsites still use a smaller, black connector and you will need an adaptor. These can be bought from camping/caravanning shops. Another thing to be aware of is reverse polarity. In Britain we only switch the positive terminal so correct polarity is important.  On the Continent both +ive and -ive are switched so polarity is not such an issue. Polarity testers can also be bought.

    Hope this hepls.  JLDLDJL
