  1. it's great.  i bought one from wal-mart and tore it apart for a full upgrade tune with maccari spring, maccari piston seal and spring guides from a guy in michigan. i'm hitting starlings from 40yards and every shot was going through them. pellet of choice for mine is the cphp's.

  2. yes it is

  3. Gamo Big Cat - $140

Pretty good buy for the $$ - A big step up from the Crosman($100) rifles - Reasonable power* and good accuracy for the $$

*Do not expect 1000fps with average weight(7.9gr - 8.6gr) lead pellets

If you just have to have a Gamo, then I would look at the CFX. It's widely recognized as the most accurate Gamo rifle.

IMO, the best value air rifle is the "Diana" RWS 34 - For around $200($187 - $225) depending on the stock and package. You get a powerful, accurate, very durable air rifle, along with a lifetime warranty from one of the best airgun makers in the world.

The Dianawerks, part of Dynamite Nobel RWS, has been building quality airguns since 1890.

  4. i love my big cat 1200. i use 7.9 grain pellets that are crosman premeir hollow and super point, super point 4 longer distances..... i dont know that kind of scope comes w/ it a d**k sporting goods, but i know that i got mine from walmart and i got a 3-9x40 w/  it..... what ever you do make sure that you put  your reoil pin down( if you dont know what i mean just please read the mounting directions) because if your like me and dont read any directions..... cause when i was sighting my scope in it took like 10 shots and i had it sighted in, but the next couple of shot i noticed that i had ot move my head back farther 2 see out of the scope right..... and finally after about 200 shots i read the mounting directions and i realized that i never put the recoil pin down... but as 4 the gun itself i personally think thats its the best gun on the market under 200$

my record on squirrel's is 45 yards, YES thats right 45 yard shot on a squirrel w/ my big cat 1200 ..... 1 clean kill

record on rabbit 30 yards... head shot of corse.. when i shot it, it jumped in the air like 4 foot and still 2 this day i sware that it was dead 4fore it hit the ground

    record 4 woodchuck(groundhog) 30 yards.... head shot

record on possum is 25 yards.... whent through the head compleatly and burried itself in the woodpile behind it self

i could go on and on but i wont.....
