Is the George Brown College Distance Education Electronics Technician Program a reputable course?

I guess my question is, do you think $1545 Canadian is expensive for a 34-week course? I want to take it because I have always wanted to learn how electronics work and it might help me to get a better paying job, but I plan to go to university in another field (architecture). I guess I just want to know about electronics. Is $1545 too expensive for this?
