  1. From a scale of 1 to 5, German is a 3, because of its grammar and its construction. German grammar is very hard to learn and requires a lot of attention. Its pronunciation is a yellow light and also needs attention, too. Overall, the German language is similar to the English language, since English is of the Germanic and Indo-European languages. Thanks for answering my question :)

  2. The pronunciation should be easy to pick up on, although the grammar can be a nightmare at times. Since you have previous experience with learning languages and you learn quickly, I don't think you'll have much of a problem. All in all, from personal experience, I think it's a very rewarding language to learn. Good luck!

  3. Very good question. I am Russian and German and speak both languages fluently, so I can help you with that.

You said that you are learning Russian and that you are "getting through" it. Well, in fact, Russian is a lot harder to learn than German. Just wait til you get to the hard grammar and vocabulary part of Russian. German is not that complicated, even though the grammar is indeed hard to learn. You should just pick up a Basics German book and look through it. It is hard to judge a language and rate its difficulty because everyone approaches to languages differently.

I never actually sat down and decided to learn Russian or German. I learned those growing up. Don't let a language intimidate you from learning it, but make sure that you take it easy and learn one after the other, not all at once.
