Question:

Is the Harley cult worldwide?

Last week in Yellowstone I ran into this big group of Harley guys who looked like the real deal, grey beards, handle bar mustaches, well worn leathers, only they had Swiss flags attached to their hogs and they were all talking presumably in Swiss. Very weird. Wonder if they allow Harleys to hold up traffic on the autobon.

  1. Yes, It's Harleys intention just like every big corporation to dominate the market wherever their products are sold. It's not a cult. Learn the definition of the word for proper use.

  2. Yes! I´m from Germany and even here are these weird guys calling thereselves ,,Hell´s Angels´´ ( big laugh)!

  3. You certanly do go out of your way to bash HD, don't you. Just learn to live with the fact that HD is the biggest seller, maybe when you get away from Mom, and start making a few bucks you to can have one, until then try to control your jealousy, plus there is help out there, you just have to ask, or you could talk to Joe B

  4. Yeah…… I see the Harley riders in all kinds of cults. Like Toys for Tots, MS charity rides and other rides for charity world wide. LOL

  5. Harley is world wide I have even seen them in Qatar You name it Harley is there. I don't know anything about a cult those guys where just being them.

And for the record Germany has one of the biggest H.A. Chapters out of all the overseas Chapters

  6. Wow, you sure pay close attention to guys on Harley's don't you?? It kinda makes one wonder...

  7. Here in Northern Ireland we have 'The Chosen Few'?.

  8. yeah you see a lot of Europeans & other people riding all over the western U.S. in the summer.

one year at sturgis there was a large group of Austrailians (at least a hundred of them)that took over a whole section of glencoe campground. they had a lot of older harleys some of them real rat bikes or "jappers" as they call them. "she's a real japper aint she mate".they were a lot like American bikers from the 60's or 70's.

once ran into a pack of 20 or30 old harley & indian flat heads mostly from the 1930's headed east at about 50 mph on I-90 they were from the netherlands & headed back to new york to return home by ship after a month of riding all over the U.S. on those old flatty's!

never been there, but I read that big full dress harleys have a near cult status in Japan where there riden by clubs of wealthy mostly older men. (RUB's about the same as here).

strangest one I ever ran into was a guy who flew in from England with just a tent & gear in a back pack & camped out at sturgis for bike week. he never even had a bike! not sure he could even ride.

sturgis used to be a real interesting place before it was taken over by family's with little kids & thousands of old people who drive motor homes & golf carts.

  9. yes as it should be

  10. We all know you hate Harleys, so you're not fooling anyone.  Also, I was in Algeria at the beginning of the month and there was a HD dealership about 50K from Algiers.  The only other motorcycles there were BMW's and Honda 750s- all ridden by the police.

  11. Actually, I can think of very few countries where there are no groups riding harleys.

  12. Even in Russia and China!

It seems the Ruskis borrowed a few WWII Hogs, and well now they have been making really old looking ones for over 60 years.  They of course shared with their other Comrads

  13. ninebadteeth.....i ride a harley, dont belong to any "cult" though, harleys are sold and ridden in every country in the world, what kind of question is this ? feeling neglected again ?
