Im about 6'0 foot and 145 to150lbs and i want to know is this a big enough bike. I though I could use one for fun in the country off road and on road to school. If you have a better sugestion for me it would be helpful I dont want to buy one then convert it and its a waste of time and money. Im not looking to spend over 1700 because im only in high school and am looking for a job to help pay for college and I think a bike would be great with how gas prices are and by the time Im in college gas will be to whos kows how high a gallon! but thats only two or three years and Im looking for a good strong reliable bike that wont take a big chunk out of the wellet when buying and repairing

  1. you'd be better off just buying a dual sport bike, rather then converting one...

  2. you are not going to get a crf150f for

    1700.00 dollars.

  3. See if you can find a used yamaha TW200, and they have a 230cc engined model, also a dual sport.  Or Suzuki has a 400 cc dual sport. It better to run them as they were made, and not jigger with them so much.

You don't go to the STEAKHOUSE to order fried Chicken, you lnow what I'm sayin?

  4. Have you ever sat on a 150F? I'm a couple inches shorter than you and I can't even ride one comfortably. The CRF230L would be the way to go, but it will be a bit more than $1700. I'm sure you could find a used KLX250 or something similar in the $1700 neighborhood.
