i think it has high safety ratings but all the technology in the world can't preclude it from the laws of physics like conservation of momentum......if a large vehicle hit it it would be very bad

  1. The 2008 Honda Fit has standard dual-stage, dual threshold front, front side and side curtain air bags. The car also features energy absorbing crush zones.  In government crash tests, the 2008 Fit earned five out of five stars in frontal crash tests, five out of five stars for front seat protection in side crashes and three out of five stars for backseat protection in side crashes. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the 2008 Fit a "Good" rating -- the highest possible -- in both frontal offset and side-impact tests.

Of course if you get hit head on by a speeding 71 Impala, nothing is most likely going to brighten that scenario.  But against most accidents I would assume you're as safe or safer as the other high rated cars of all sizes in today's market.

  2. What you should do is check and research just how all vehicles are tested first then make up your mind because it may have a 4 or 5 star rating but the vehicle was not truly checked like we all think and as for your last concern, nothing is truly safe if it is hit by a heavier vehicle.

  3. .
