Question:

Is the Honda Insight Hybrid still being made?

When I check the online car sales websites it appears this vehicle dissapears after 2003. I like it better than that smart-car. I can't afford a Prius and a used Insight seems the best choice in the under $15K range.

  1. The Honda Insight actually was discontinued after the 2006 model year. They are a safe reliabile car and are the most fuel efficient car that was made with an e.p.a estimated 57/56 mpg. But they are really hard to find so if there is one for sale I'd buy it before its already sold.

  2. Nope!

  3. No. Honda stopped making them in 2006.

Everything I have read says Honda will be introducing 3 new hybrids in the coming years.

Although Honda is hush hush about what they are, some forums say that there will be a Hybrid version of the Honda Fit, which will likely be the cheapest new hybrid on the market if it is introduced.

  4. Unfortunately no. What I never really understood was the lack of marketting that Honda did on the Insight. Every time I went to the Honda dealer they never had one and there was really no promotion either. I heard that they lost money on every one, but not sure about that. I could sure use one right now.
