Is the IB program worth it? Which is better to do - AP or IB?

ib is useful if you plan on studying abroad because it shows other countries that you have passed not only your schools standards but their standards too.  many u.s. colleges are not influenced by whether your participate but some colleges in other countries would require you to take some high school there if you didn't.

ap is useful if you're attending a us college because it gives you college credits while you're still in school. some students complete a year or two of college be fore they graduate high school.
