  1. NASCAR has different cars and rules. And different tracks.Formula is a worldwide sport.NASCAR is a nationwide sport.Thats basicly it.

  2. Indy cars have no doors and no Dale's.

  3. neither, its indy cars, nascar cars are a lot heavier and require a lot more skill to drive because the car is twice as heavy as an indy care and the tires are half as wide and the nascars usually run in a much tighter pack, the indy cars handle much better and are faster simply because they are so light and the tires are much larger and the cars sit much closer to the track. f-1 cars are similar to indy cars. nascar runs at indy also but that race is called the brickyard 400.

  4. it's niether one, it's IRL (indy racing leauge ). it's similar to formula 1, because it's an 'open wheel' series. in other words the cars look similar. NASCAR runs stock cars, whick look more like the cars people drive to work everyday. formula 1 does not currently run in the US, they run races all over the world, where as the IRL is strictly an american series.

  5. Um the Indy 500 is neither a NASCAR race or a Formula 1 race. Its a race of the Indy Racing League.

As far as the other 2's participation at Indianapolis

NASCAR since 2004 runs the Brickyard 400 (now Allstate 400 at The Brickyard)

    &

Formula 1 up to last year ran the United States Grand Prix on the Indy road course.

The NASCARs use only the oval or rectangle course (as it were) run from right to left if you look at the course from a north direction, whereas the F1 cars ran the opposite direction & used the road course.

As far as who the Indy 500 is sanctioned to, the IRL, they also only use the rectangle course.

  6. here you go ;)

  7. its IRL

  8. Its a formula race.  The nascar event yesterday was the coca-cola 600 raced near Charlotte North Carolina.  The difference is the type of car - indy is an open wheel race car that uses a really hi test kind of fuel and they go faster; nascar is a 'stock car' (the frame is the same as the cars most of us drive), they're closed wheel and use a different fuel.  Those are the basics but you can find lots of websites that discuss both.
