I am looking to buy my husband an Irish football jersey for Christmas, but I live in Texas and my resources are limited... plus I don't want to get him one that is an older design... I can get the 2006 design, is that going to change soon and if so where can I see the new ones??

  1. It probably will, but the basic crux of the jersey will stay the same - Ireland will always wear green as its home color, and, for the foreseeable future, Umbro will be the sponsor.

Also, if price is a concern, I think the current Irish kit shouldn't be too expensive - Ireland have had a torrid start to the Euro qualifying campaign, and the odds are stacked against them to qualify.

  2. I'd go for an Ireland rugby jersey instead- the new one is available now - sponsored by O2 and as we'll have the six nations and the rugby world cup next year he'll get much more wear out of it!

Plus its a nicer jersey I think. It stays much the same from year to year and as this is the first year O2 are the main sponsor it might not chnage significantly for a while.
