I will be there in a few months and will be close to Lynchburg. Is a visit to JD and the distillery tour worth the time? Yes, I drink a lot of JD.

  1. The tour is free and very entertaining. The new visitor center is pretty cool and you can learn a bit about Old No. 7 while you're there. Before you go, buy a bottle of Jack in a county that's not dry because after the tour, you'll be twitching for a taste of it.

  2. since ur a fan it is worth it

but you will be served lemonade & water after the tour becuse Lynchburg is in a dry county.

But the place is beautiful and you get to stick your head into the vat of fermenting "beer" or sour mash.

Try some others as well. when i went to KY I was able to sample the bourbon as it was being dumped from the barrel. They let me stick my finger in it for a taste again & again. This was before it was filtered. Nice.

  3. look i live on lynchburg hwy and I've been to jack Daniels more times than i can count, its historical.I mean its the only whiskey ill have in my home lol.I know some of the staff and there awesome and at the end of the tour you get free lemonade and whiskey brownies.
