Question:

Is the John McCain/Annie Oakley candidacy good for America?

John McCain has been a huge supporter of Bush's failed policies and has not indicated in any substantial way how he would deviate from them. He is also famous for his issues with anger. His cohort, Annie Oakley, reeks of dishonesty, and her delivery is nearly always snide, bitter and sarcastic, along with being misinformed and misquided. I have become more and more convinced that this ticket appeals primarily to redneck types who drive around in their pickup trucks shooting at highway signs and small animals (and an occasional moose). These seem to me to be not the kind of people any thoughtful or intelligent person would want running this country.

  1. I loved the Annie Oakley thing that was right.

  2. If, as seems to be the case, the Democrats consider Mc Cain, Palin to be a joke why are they not celebrating. I would think they would be glad to have weak opponents to assure an Obama  victory.

I am a bit puzzled as to why they expect change from a senator who

came from Chicago machine politics. Chicago the city that  works (on clout)

  3. No they're a joke to this election.  They will surely lose in Nov.

What imitations of 1984 Mondale/Ferraro ticket that the Republicans have brought us.  Now watch as Obama/Biden steam roll over these lame balls like Reagan Bush did in the 1980s.

The tables have definitely turned in this era of politics. I'm happy to be a Democrat.

  4. No.

  5. Only if you like to see the country go downhill. Moose hunter Barbie is a sad joke. George McSame took her on to energize the Talebangelicals.

  6. Can't you come up with NEW talking points, you all sound like broken Obama records.  COME UP WITH NEW MATERIAL!

  7. No, it would be 4 more years of chaos and mistrust

  8. Not a single time i heard anything regarding issues. It looked as if Republicans were busy convincing those red necks to vote for him so that Republicans can still have the white house with them

  9. Good for America, no.

    Great for America, yes!

I dont want to live in a socialist monarchy. The gang of five will lead us there:

    Obama

    Biden

    Oprah

    Pelosi

    Reid

  10. Mr. Magoo/Annie Oakley '08!

    Country First

  11. depends on what you value as good.  I think they would be extraordinary.  McCain is not George Bush and yes they may have agreed on somethings but John McCain has an overall different outlook than George Bush had.

And your pigeon-holeing of Republicans is a bit offensive.  I am Republican and hold two B.S's and am currently working on an M.S/PhD program.  I do lots of community service and am anything but redneck.  I've held a gun only once in my life and have never even been in a pick-up truck.  I simply value my freedom from the government.  I do not want big government.  I think the country socially needs a change, but I believe it should come from the citizens, it should not be mandated by the government.  I simply want the government to be there to guide and protect the citizens.  If I wanted to live in a liberal/socialist society, I would move to France.
