Is the LG 5 DVD Home Theater System compatible with blu-ray discs?

I have an LG 5-DVD Home Theater System, model LHT764. It is compatible with my high definition TV, but I don't know if it will play blu-ray DVDs. I don't know enough about technology to understand all of this! Any help will be appreciated!!!!

No you would need an actual blu-ray player to play blu-ray discs.  You can however, hook a blu-ray players audio up to your LG systems audio input so you do not have to replace everything.

Well, unfortunately not...it's will take standard DVD material and convert it to HDMI output signal, but it cannot read Blu Ray DVDs...

Yup, I own it (this exact model!), it eats blu-ray just fine.
