  1. "Hard" is a very subjective term.

    The LSAT as with any standard entrance exam is designed to test your knowledge in areas specific to the type of learning that is required for the area of study you are testing for.  Areas of specific interest in LSAT include logic, comprehension, and reasoning.  These areas are vital for the practice of law.

    There are many on line and printed guides that are designed to assist people perform better on the LSAT.  Taking sample tests are an excellent way to prepare.  It allows you to become familiar with the test format and identify areas of weakness prior to taking the actual exam.

  2. It's strictly a logic test; no legal knowledge is required.  If you generally do well on standardized tests and you have an analytical mind, you'll do fine.

    If not, either buy a study guide or take a prep course.
