  1. MCAT is necessary if u wanna go to medical school unless u want to go to carribean school then some dont recommend..


  2. The MCAT is only neccesary if you finally decide to become a doctor. But in order to major in the medical field (become a nurse, dental assistant) then you don't need to take the MCAT. Good luck.

What everyone else says is correct: you only need to take the MCAT if you're going to medical school.  Other schools have different requirements--if you're going into research, to get a Master's degree or a PhD, then you'll probably need to take the GRE.  Additionally, though, keep in mind that you would only take the MCAT (or the GRE, for that matter) at the end of your time at a university, i.e. after you'd had 3 or 3.5 years of training in biology, or chemistry, or neuropharmacology, or whatever it is you're studying.

  4. Only if you plan on being a medical doctor
