  1. There are some beautiful smaller villages within Cadereyta Jimenez:  San Juan, Pueblo Nuevo, Cereso Cadereyta, Atongo de Abajo and Palmitos.  All of which are worth seeing if you're looking for traditional Mexico as opposed to modernized resort cities.  

    Particular sites not to miss include the San Juan Bautista cathedral-  absolutely beautiful- and the caves, Las Grutas El Mescal which, in my opinion are even better than the famous Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico.
