Is the Mexican soft drink "Jarritos" that is distributed in the U.S. made with U.S. or Mexican water?

I have a bit of a sensitive stomach and so I'm paranoid about getting upset stomach or worse if I chug foreign water. I'm talking about the bottles.

Jarritos is a Mexican product, of course it is manufactured with Mexican water. Your impression of Mexico must be pretty bad, or misinformed. There are health standards and quality norms to be followed by bottling companies, these include using purified water. Not all the water in Mexico carries a death sentence with it, I have taken tap water in Monterrey and it hasn't killed me, or anyone else. I would have cause to worry if my drinking water came from a polluted stream, lake or river without the benefit of going through the water works first.

Although a lot of things in Mexico need to improve, that does not extend to mass produced food or beverages, because if there were an inkling of a problem the corporations would lose money and business. Bad reputations in Mexico take a loooong time for people to forget them, especially with the health authorities and the IRS breathing down their neck.

But of course you probably wouldn't know any of this because you've probably never been to Mexico at all. If such is the case then your perception is distorted by the news media and Hollywood's offensive and often inaccurate stereotypes.

Jarritos would probably benefit by your not consuming their product at all. At least that way, you will be happy and won't have to worry about deadly bacteria contained in Mexican, aka foreign, water.

Oh, and dont4get2luvme knows absolutely nothing about bottling companies in Mexico. They all follow the same standards. Jarritos belongs to Novamex, they have their own bottling facilities with blow molding capabilities to make their own bottles. That means big facilities, big money, big standards, just like any Coke or Pepsi bottler anywhere in the world. People have been drinking jarritos since the 1950's, this is not a hastily put together operation to sell soft drinks to gringos.

Don't worry the water used is safe and clean. Jarritos has been selling in the U.S.A. for so long and never once was there ever any problems. Well here where I am from there has never been a problem. I live right next door to Mexico and have been for a long time.

Imported from Mexico, I have a sensitive stomache too but havent ever had any issue. I think its because its processed differently than their other sodas and drinks

"Jarritos" is bottled in Mexico. The water used in it is safe to drink by anyone. Our family has been been drinking it for years, every since it became available in our local stores here in Ohio, and no one has ever had any problems....including my pre-school aged grandchildren.

Despite all the recalls and stuff, most imported items must pass inspections and be legal under American law, since not may people ever gotten sick from it, I don't see the problem. Besides, Mexican people drank it and they are fine.

I'm sure the water is purified. The thing about drinking Mexican water is about drinking TAP water which is why you should always drink bottled water there.

its imported  from mexico so its made from mexican water but water from mexico is different than usa. even in foods everything is processed here so it can be good for a longer time while in mexico everything is natural.   like if you go the grocery store here in teh usa u dont know how long ago the animal had been killed before it coulve have been killed maybe half a year ago. while in mexico if you kill an animal to get meat u eat it rite away so everything is differnent.  but jarritos shouldnt be bad..
